After spending time as a military officer, project engineer and manager, I was fortunate enough make the move into real estate. Although not my first career choice, it has proven to be my best as I am blessed to develop and enjoy relationships with new people daily and guide my clients in realizing the American dream of home ownership. Success is best measured by client satisfaction while meeting their real estate goals. Knowing my clients’ goals and what is important to them is a priority with me. Keeping clients informed is a major emphasis of mine because lack of contact breeds doubt and increases stress. Honesty, trustworthiness and confidentiality are essential characteristics for the duties owed to clients by real estate agents; which are of paramount importance with me.
Admittedly, many real estate agents do similar things due to the requirements of the real estate process, but there is significant variation found in individual performances. My efforts to set myself apart stem from doing common things uncommonly well. I utilize and rely on best practices determined through the knowledge and experience I have been able to compile as a real estate professional. This dramatically increases the potential for a successful transaction for my clients. My clients receive books on specific real estate topics appropriate to their situation. This has been a major effort of mine to develop and publish these books since the real estate transaction process never allows sufficient time to adequately address all the nuances possible in the real estate transaction process.
As one of only a handful of Realtors with the Pricing Strategy Advisor and Seller Representation Specialist designations in New York State, I am uniquely qualified to determine the valuation range of your home. However, you should never choose a Realtor based on price. Choose one with the best marketing plan, communication and management skills since these are the qualifications that will cause your home to sell. Only the market can determine the price your home sells for. Look for a Realtor that recommends, leads, guides and communicates with you throughout the home selling process.
Buyers are urged to have their interests represented by a Realtor of their choice. Many of today’s buyers contact numerous agents from online advertisers to schedule showings. They don’t realize that many of these agents represent the seller. Buyers should make it a priority to find a Realtor they can trust as early as possible. Studies show that when buyers begin looking for a home on their own, they take a longer time to reach their goal. Using a buyer’s agent will save you time and frustration by providing answers, educating you on the home buying process and providing referrals to other real estate professionals. The best news is that there is no out-of-pocket cost for your buyer’s agent! In most cases a buyer’s agent is paid from the commission paid by the seller.
